When we have a client notice the details we put forth, it truly is the most rewarding experience because we put a lot of thought into our client interactions to make them special. We know that when we work on a design, it’s almost always for a meaningful occasion and we want our clients to have not only an amazing product in hand at the end of the day, but also an amazing memory of the entire process. Unfortunately, this really isn’t the norm in the fine jewelry world as many larger retailers tend to put a sales objective first, rather than the client perspective. This leads to clients feeling pressured, talked down to, and generally put off - until they reach our shop.

We always start with a thorough and thoughtful design consultation with our lead design team to review your design goals, talk through your lifestyle and how you plan to integrate your piece into it, discuss our general plan for design, and review any budget considerations you would like us to keep in mind
Instead of keeping an inventory of diamonds on hand, all gemstone and diamond sourcing is completed on a per-client basis in order to ensure that options presented fit your particular considerations and goals - you will leave our gemstone consultations educated and confident in your selection
Unlike other retailers who offer limited design services or export their talent, all bespoke designs are designed in-house and presented to you by our design team using 3d CAD technology so that you can completely envision the finished piece before it is made - and you will have complete agency to request edits or revisions to the design without worrying about added design fees (we want to get the design right, not box you into a corner to create a piece with which you aren’t 100% satisfied)
We believe in full transparency and no unplesant surprises: when design drafts are presented, you can expect a complete pricing breakdown including all gemstones needed for the design
While casting is not completed in house, all finishing and setting is completed and guaranteed in-house from our onsite workshop - this means any resizing or repairs needed can be completed within just a few days, if not sooner, instead of the typical 6 weeks required by big-box stores (see Our Guarantee for more information)
Your bespoke ring deserves a box that reflects its special meaning. Unlike other jewelers who use mass-produced, poorly constructed boxes, our custom and bespoke designs are presented in hand-made, premium velvet and leather boxes in our signature blue and gold branding
Alx&Co. clients have the opportunity to design their own customized boxes for an even more bespoke experience - pick your colors, shapes, and even add personal monograming!
Custom and bespoke milestone pieces are presented with a personalized watercolor drawing of their finished piece, suitable for framing
If you have designed an engagement ring at Alx&Co., we offer special pricing for all wedding-related purchases including wedding bands, customized vow books, bridal party gifts, day-of selections, and other ideas
When we work with a client, we care deeply about making the process accessible, educational, and fun - no matter your experience with fine jewelry or your budget considerations. The last thing we want is for a client to feel put upon or pressured into a design or purchase they don’t feel fully convinced on, or to feel like their deeply personal piece is somehow less-than our standard. And, we have the craftmanship to back up our design promises: with an onsite workshop, experienced jewelers and designers, and a solid guarantee behind our pieces, we take care to create only heirloom-worthy designs that will last generations of wear. This combination simply isn’t one commonly found in jewelers today, with most designers focusing only on the aesthetic side of jewelry craft and most hands-on jewelers reverting to overly traditionalist views of design.
